We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our hospitality team and ensure our rooms and public areas exceed cleanliness expectations.
Job Summary
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with company standards. Your work directly contributes to the guest experience and overall reputation of the hotel. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Guest Room & Common Area Cleaning
- Clean and service guest rooms including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Clean corridors, stairways, elevators, lobbies, lounges, and other assigned public areas.
- Check and ensure all appliances (TV, A/C, hair dryer, lamps, etc.) are functioning properly.
Linen & Supply Management
- Distribute and restock linens, towels, toiletries, and other guest supplies using carts or by hand.
- Replace used or soiled linens with clean, fresh items per hotel standards.
- Inspect and rotate mattresses and realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed room layout.
- Replace used guest laundry bags and slips; monitor in-room guest laundry for pickup.
Restocking & Cart Organization
- Replenish room items such as soap, shampoo, cups, writing supplies, and minibar contents.
- Organize and restock housekeeping cart at the end of shift.
Guest Interaction & Responsiveness
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and housekeeping-related requests.
- Deliver requested items such as extra pillows, towels, or toiletries.
- Remove room service trays and items left outside rooms.
Maintenance & Safety Reporting
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures) or safety hazards immediately.
- Respond to unexpected housekeeping calls such as spills or broken glass.
- Observe and report damage to hotel property.
Security & Procedures
- Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety, security, and sanitation standards and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in a hotel or similar environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and handling of delicate materials.
- Ability to operate basic housekeeping equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.).
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
