Job Summary:
Upper east side ultra luxury rental new construction building seeks WEEKEND Porter/maintenance tech SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 10am-6p. The right candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in cleaning and maintaining a luxury building. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter/Maintenance professional to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to custodial, maintenance, and cleaning duties. This role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently. Duties:
- Perform general cleaning duties including daily garbage removal from compactor and compactor rooms,sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including the repair and replacement of equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
- Maintain the appearance of the building and surrounding grounds, including the upkeep of lobby, elevators, compactor room, garbage rooms in the corridors , and other areas.
- Use a variety of cleaning tools and equipment, including buffers and other specialized cleaning equipment.
- Perform residential painting tasks as required, including preparation, painting, and cleanup of apartments for turnover and preparation.
- Ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience:
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services is required.
- A background in commercial cleaning is also beneficial.
- Applicants should have a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and the ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with buffing and other specialized cleaning techniques.
- Experience with residential painting.
