POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports directly to the store manager. Responsibilities include keeping the store clean, performing water testing, fill pool additive/chlorine jugs, and helping with customer needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Previous retail and/or pool supply experience preferred but not required. Will train the right individual in multiple areas of retail and service. Excellent customer service skills required - an outgoing personality and a smile are a must !
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Perform water balance testing, as needed, for customers.
Answer phones, take detailed messages and communicate with store manager and service manager
Help customers with purchases, carrying purchases to the car.
Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture, displays and counter area clean.
Vacuum carpeted areas daily/ Mop floors daily.
Breakdown cardboard boxes.
Dump trash.
Fill jugs/carry to customer car.
Clean windows.
Report supply shortage.
May perform minor repairs.
Any other duties, as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Ability to answer phones and perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and or the corporate office.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and the atmosphere is casual, yet upbeat!
