Living Faith Christian Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and Christ-centered Kindergarten Teacher Assistant to join our growing school community. As a Christian private school, we partner with families to provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures academic excellence, spiritual growth, and strong character.

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons and classroom activities.
- Support students in literacy, math, hands-on learning, and character development.
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Encourage Christ-like behavior and model Christian character for students.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
- Assist with preparing classroom materials, organizing supplies, and setting up learning activities.
- Monitor students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development through positive interactions and encouragement.
- Communicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding student progress, needs, and concerns.
- Assist with classroom organization and daily routines.
Qualifications
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with Christian values.
- Ability to affirm and support the school’s Statement of Faith and mission.
- Experience working with young children in a school, preschool, daycare, church, or childcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, dependable, organized, and able to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to support students with diverse learning needs.
- A genuine love for children and a passion for helping them learn and grow.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the school day, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting classroom materials as needed.
- Ability to move between classrooms and school spaces located throughout a three-story building.
- Must be able to safely and comfortably navigate stairs multiple times throughout the day, as the building does not have elevator access.
- Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
