Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and dependable CDL Drivers with Class A or B licenses to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate various commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from construction sites, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise will support heavy civil infrastructure projects, including paving, concrete work, and site development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of large-scale construction operations that shape communities and infrastructure.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including dump trucks, concrete mixers, and other heavy-duty vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
- Transport construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, rebar, and paving supplies to designated sites efficiently
- Assist with construction machinery maintenance and perform basic mechanical inspections to ensure vehicle reliability
- Support paving operations by operating paving equipment like screeds and loaders, contributing to asphalt paving and concrete finishing tasks
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving concrete forming, concrete pumping, rebar installation, excavator operation, and other site activities
- Follow all safety protocols during vehicle operation and construction activities to maintain a secure work environment
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation in adherence to safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction or civil infrastructure setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and basic repairs
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and DOT requirements
- Experience working with paving equipment, concrete mixers, loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery is preferred
- Strong understanding of asphalt paving, concrete finishing, rebar installation, and related tasks
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and load weights accurately
- Excellent safety protocol adherence and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
