Responsibilities may include supporting individuals with food preparation, grocery shopping, personal health and hygiene, personal and household shopping, financial management, and required documentation. This position requires ethical behavior, patience, reliability, effective communication, compassion, independence, and adaptability.
We are seeking a passionate, energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. In this essential role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents with developmental disabilities, helping promote their independence, well-being, and safety. Your commitment and compassion will help create a nurturing, stable environment where every individual feels valued and supported.
Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting any concerns promptly

Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote nutritional health

Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance

Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility using proper techniques to prevent injury

Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices

Document resident progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
