Full-Time Assistant Financial Director
Broadmoor United Methodist Church is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Financial Director to join our team. This full-time position works closely with the Church Controller to support the financial operations of the church while ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with conference, state, and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Church Controller with the day-to-day financial operations of the church.
- Process and maintain accounts payable and payroll.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Manage designated funds and donor records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budget reporting and analysis.
- Support audit preparation and coordinate documentation as needed.
- Perform additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- CPA designation is a plus.
Experience
- Seven to ten years of professional experience in accrual-based accounting and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, payroll, and investment accounting.
- Experience coordinating audits and maintaining strong internal financial controls.
- Experience with nonprofit and/or church accounting, including fund accounting and reporting, is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ACS Financial Software and Planning Center is helpful.
