Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate conceptual, preliminary, and hard bid estimates for projects ranging from approximately $1M to $45M+
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete project pricing
- Perform quantity take-offs for key project components and trades
- Respond to RFQs, RFPs, and negotiated bid opportunities
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, project managers, and operations teams during the estimating process
- Develop and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships
- Analyze project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
- Assist with budgeting, scope reviews, and preconstruction planning
- Support public and private sector project pursuits
Preferred Experience
- Direct estimating experience with Walmart projects and related platforms/systems, including: WRIKE, Lucernex, Coupa Supplier Portal, SMCA
- Publix estimating experience strongly preferred
- Experience with public works projects, either in estimating or project management
- Background estimating a wide variety of project types, including: Retail, Industrial, Medical/Healthcare, Parks & Recreation/Public Infrastructure
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and materials
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple estimates simultaneously
Qualifications
- Proven ability to estimate projects ranging from $1M–$45M+
- Strong knowledge of construction documents and specifications
- Proficiency in take-offs, bid analysis, and cost modeling
- Experience working for a general contractor or large commercial construction firm preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
