Arcade Manager in Training
Pay: $20 to $24 per hour
Schedule: Expected 20 to 29 hours per week, with additional hours potentially available
Location: Klawsome at Sakura Novi, Novi, Michigan
Job Overview
Klawsome! is looking for a reliable, motivated, and experienced leader to join our growing arcade business as an Arcade Manager in Training.
This is a hands on leadership position for someone who is ready to take ownership of daily store operations, guide a team, improve the guest experience, and help grow the business.
You will work directly with the founders while learning the systems, standards, and business decisions required to lead the location successfully. The right candidate will not simply support the store. They will help lead it.
For a strong performer, this position may lead to promotion into expanded leadership opportunities as Klawsome! grows.
Leadership and Growth Opportunity
This is a high visibility, high impact position with direct access to the founders and owners of Klawsome!.
You will be expected to act as a leader, problem solver, and strategic partner. You will have opportunities to recommend and test ideas related to promotions, customer experience, team performance, sales, store operations, and brand growth.
As Klawsome expands into additional locations and future business models, successful managers may have opportunities to grow into broader operational responsibilities.
Growth will be based on performance, reliability, leadership ability, business needs, and demonstrated ownership of store operations.

Klawsome is a customer focused arcade built around claw machines, Kawaii culture, Asian themed plushies, collectibles, games, and memorable guest experiences.

Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead daily store operations and coordinate team activities based on business needs
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, customer service, and store standards
- Train, coach, develop, and provide regular feedback to employees
- Help recruit, onboard, retain, and develop dependable team members
- Build a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment
- Address employee concerns and help resolve workplace issues professionally
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating Klawsome values, service standards, urgency, and professionalism
- Help manage staffing coverage and find replacements when needed
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and confirm assigned work is completed
- Communicate store needs, employee concerns, performance issues, and operating results to the founders
Store Operations
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, POS use, cash handling, restocking, and store organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, fun, and welcoming environment
- Manage inventory organization, prize restocking, merchandising, and product presentation
- Train employees on POS systems, store procedures, guest experience standards, and basic claw machine troubleshooting
- Help protect company assets and maintain accurate cash, inventory, and operating records
- Complete regular reporting related to sales, expenses, inventory, labor, customer experience, and store performance
- Identify operating problems and take appropriate action to resolve them
- Complete other responsibilities assigned by the founders
Sales and Customer Experience
- Drive store sales and profitability by working toward agreed business goals
- Look for practical ways to improve store traffic, repeat visits, birthday parties, mobile arcade opportunities, machine rentals, and other revenue channels
- Build strong relationships with guests and provide friendly, personalized, and professional service
- Handle customer questions, feedback, and complaints promptly and calmly
- Help ensure guest concerns are resolved appropriately
- Support promotions, social media efforts, community outreach, and approved marketing activities
- Recommend ideas that may improve the guest experience, store offerings, or business performance
Required Experience
- Three or more years of retail, hospitality, restaurant, arcade, entertainment, or similar operations experience is strongly preferred
- Previous management, assistant management, supervisor, or shift leadership experience is required
- Experience leading, training, coaching, or holding employees accountable
- Experience with cash handling, inventory, merchandising, sales goals, labor, or customer complaint resolution
- Strong communication, organization, delegation, and time management skills
- Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and follow through without constant supervision
- Comfortable working with families, children, guests, and employees in a fast paced customer facing environment
- Basic computer skills, including email, web based systems, and Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Schedule Requirements
Current tentative store hours are:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday and Wednesday: 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM
- Thursday and Friday: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Candidates must be willing to work at least one Friday or Saturday night each week.
Additional hours may become available based on business needs, events, performance, and company growth.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and moving throughout the facility for extended periods.
Employees may be required to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, climb steps or ladders, move merchandise, and lift or carry boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
