Arcade Manager in Training
Pay: $20 to $24 per hour
Schedule: Expected 20 to 29 hours per week, with additional hours potentially available
Location: Klawsome at Sakura Novi, Novi, Michigan
The Opportunity
Klawsome is seeking a polished, energetic, and technology capable leader who wants to help build a growing family entertainment company. This is a hands on management role with a clear path toward greater responsibility for the right performer.
You will work directly with Klawsome ownership and other stakeholders while supporting store operations, people leadership, customer experience, reporting, inventory, sales awareness, events, and brand growth. This is a high visibility position. The person selected must be comfortable representing Klawsome to families, employees, partners, and the community.
Leadership and Growth Opportunity
This is a high visibility, high impact position with direct access to the founders and owners of Klawsome!.
You will be expected to act as a leader, problem solver, and strategic partner. You will have opportunities to recommend and test ideas related to promotions, customer experience, team performance, sales, store operations, and brand growth.
As Klawsome expands into additional locations and future business models, successful managers may have opportunities to grow into broader operational responsibilities.
Growth will be based on performance, reliability, leadership ability, business needs, and demonstrated ownership of store operations.
This Role Requires Strong Computer Skills
A significant portion of this position involves computer based management work. You must be comfortable learning and regularly using Square, scheduling systems, spreadsheets, email, inventory tools, reports, artificial intelligence tools, written procedures, and basic marketing platforms. Candidates who are not comfortable working independently on a computer will not be a fit for the General Manager track.

What You Will Do
- Lead and support store associates through clear expectations, training, coaching, and accountability.
- Help manage scheduling, staffing coverage, opening, closing, and daily operating priorities.
- Use Square and other systems to monitor sales, labor, inventory, customer experience, and store performance.
- Prepare clear updates, reports, spreadsheets, and action items for ownership.
- Maintain organized inventory, prize restocking, merchandising, and product presentation.
- Create a clean, safe, energetic, and welcoming experience for every guest.
- Resolve customer concerns calmly while protecting company standards and the guest relationship.
- Support birthday parties, mobile arcade opportunities, machine rentals, promotions, and repeat guest engagement.
- Help grow Klawsome brand awareness through strong service, community presence, events, and approved outreach.
- Learn basic claw machine troubleshooting and coordinate operational follow through.
- Help document and improve store procedures as the company grows.
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrated leadership experience in retail, hospitality, restaurants, entertainment, arcades, or another customer facing business.
- Specific examples of coaching employees, addressing performance issues, training teams, and holding people accountable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain decisions and provide detailed examples.
- Strong computer proficiency, including spreadsheets, email, reporting, scheduling, point of sale, inventory, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- A polished, energetic, approachable presence that parents, children, employees, and business partners can trust.
- Strong organization, follow through, judgment, and ownership of results.
- Genuine interest in Klawsome, its customers, its growth plans, and helping build a distinctive family entertainment brand.
- Professional focus and availability to make Klawsome a meaningful priority.
- Interest in kawaii culture, anime, Asian themed plushies, collectibles, games, arcades, or family friendly entertainment is strongly preferred.
Schedule Requirements
Current tentative store hours are:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday and Wednesday: 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM
- Thursday and Friday: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Candidates must be willing to work at least one Friday or Saturday night each week.
Additional hours may become available based on business needs, events, performance, and company growth.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and moving throughout the facility for extended periods.
Employees may be required to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, climb steps or ladders, move merchandise, and lift or carry boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
