Holistic Licensed Massage Therapists are responsible for providing various therapeutic spa body treatments (massages, body scrubs, body wraps, etc) to spa guests while showing genuine care, warmth and concern for all. Knowledge and experience of a Holistic lifestyle are essential in providing the full guest experience and guidance towards healing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform all services on the menu, or willing to be trained on all services within a reasonable time frame as outlined by Spa Management.
- Able to comfortably work an 8 hour shift
- Required to provide ample notice of any foreseeable scheduling conflicts to include but not be restricted to: requests for time off/shift changes, adhering to blackout periods
- Welcome all guests with warmth, care and according to company standard.
- Confirm guests name, service and length of service
- During the consultation, listen to the guests wants/ needs to ensure desired outcome is met so that guest leaves feeling satisfied with their spa experience.
- Identify any areas of concern on contraindications for the guest.
- Perform various massage/body treatments as outlined in the spa menu and to current treatment protocol.
- Provide insightful at home care advice and product recommendations to each guest.
- Throughout interaction and service, anticipate and address guests needs.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Build professional relationships with spa guests in order to increase guest retention rate
- Work independently and with a team.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Be mindful of and work within time constraints to ensure services begin/end on time
- Ensure treatment room opening and closing procedures are being adhered to and room cleanliness standards are met
- Stay within recommended guidance of product usage per service. Communicate with spa leadership should any exceptions be made.
- Attendance of team meetings and trainings
- Ensure all guest experiences are satisfactory
- Operate miscellaneous software relevant to daily tasks
- Perform additional spa initiatives as assigned by management
- Maintain awareness of health and safety legislations.
- Maintain Massage License Requirements in regulation with the Florida Massage Board
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years practicing massage therapy.
- Luxury spa or resort spa experience preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Must be licensed in Florida.
- CPR Certified
- First Aid Certified
- Demonstrates experience working on client development & relationship building
- Focused on attention to detail, taking initiative, and creating a positive working environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
