The Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher at GLA designs rigorous, standards-aligned lessons that promote critical thinking and empower scholars to take ownership of their learning. This role requires fostering a safe, inclusive classroom environment while encouraging curiosity and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver PA Core standards-aligned ELA lessons.

Plan and implement class activities, projects, and assessments, providing timely feedback.

Establish clear objectives and maintain positive relationships with scholars, families, and staff.

Track and evaluate student progress, adjusting instruction to meet individual needs.

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and needs.

Attend professional development and training to enhance instructional practices.

Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO, Principal, or Academy Leader.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Preferred: Valid PA teaching certification for Grades 4-8 English.

Compensation:

Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000, based on experience and education.
