American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a Level 2 Trauma, academic teaching hospital in Rome, GA.

Nuclear Medicine department in a 361-licensed-bed Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital with an active residency program
-
Adult-only patient population averaging 14 patients per day
-
Procedures include cardiac scans, stress/rest tests, HIDA scans, gastric scans, renal scans, bone scans, VQ scans, GI bleeds, parathyroid with SPECT CT, and I-131 administration
-
EMR: Epic (experience required); PACS: Philips
-
Equipment includes Siemens CKM (required), Siemens Symbia S (required), and Siemens Prospecta (preferred)

Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week

On-call required Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until 6:00 PM

On-call coverage may be required when a holiday falls on a scheduled shift

No floating required

Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience

Current BLS required
-
ARRT or NMTCB certification required

License required if applicable

Proficiency with cardiac/stress rest tests, HIDA scans, GI bleeds, and VQ scans required

Experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S required; Siemens Prospecta experience preferred

Ability to start IVs required

Must be comfortable working independently as the sole Nuclear Medicine Technologist on shift

Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration

Department team includes a Lead Tech, management, house transport, 2–3 Nuclear Medicine Technologists during weekdays, and 1 technologist on weekends; an RN is available on weekends to assist with cardiac cases, along with a Rapid Response/Code Team

Orientation includes new employee orientation (NEO) followed by 4 shifts of department-specific orientation

Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
-
Local candidates are accepted — no radius rule applies, and the same rate is offered to local travelers at Georgia facilities

Schedule is set; RTO requests must be approved by the manager
