Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a Christian, early childhood education environment. Our teachers should create a safe place where children can explore, learn, and grow. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s early years while fostering positive relationships with families and colleagues. We offer a flexible schedule Monday through Thursday (morning- early afternoon).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills for preschool-aged children.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring safety and engagement
- Use effective behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and social skills development.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Conduct assessments of child development progress
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum adjustments
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings.
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development principles, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively through classroom management strategies tailored for young children.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare compliance.
- First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during all activities.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
