CAD Designer
Location: Onsite + 25% Travel | Manufacturing Environment
Salary: $65,000-$70,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a CAD Designer to join its engineering and operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning customer requirements and engineering concepts into accurate production-ready drawings while collaborating closely with manufacturing and sales.
You'll have the opportunity to work on custom products, support manufacturing operations, and see your designs move from concept to production.
- Create detailed CAD drawings from customer specifications and engineering requirements
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design modifications
- Produce manufacturing-ready drawings and documentation
- Generate material takeoffs and support estimating activities
- Develop construction sketches and technical layouts
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files
- Help ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards
- 2+ years of CAD drafting or design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong technical drawing and drafting skills
- Manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred
- Experience with SketchUp, BIM, or related software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- $65,000-$70,000 base salary
