Prepares or assists in preparation of complete meals - preparing and cooking soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, baked goods, etc.
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, be able to work overnight shift
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Four Years working in * Fine dining, high-volume experience
- Ability to multi-task & maintain poise and a sense of humor amidst a fast paced and demanding environment
- Ability to think quick on their feet and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Standing and walking eight-hour shifts.
- Required, and must have open availability, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have a current food handler's card
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and or carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with employees.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests, handling multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts.
- Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
