Territory Sales Representative – Roof Tile
Territory: Arizona & California
Job Type: Compensation 3% Commission |$1,500 USD guaranteed monthly commission during the first 3 months | No Base Salary
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Roof Tile Sales Representative to develop and grow business throughout Arizona and California for an established manufacturer of premium clay and concrete roof tile products.
This is a field-driven sales role focused on distributors, roofing contractors, builders, architects, designers, and other key stakeholders across the construction industry.
This is not an entry-level position. Direct experience selling clay or concrete roof tile products is required.
Required Qualifications
- Direct, hands-on experience selling clay or concrete roof tile products
- Established relationships within the roofing, building materials, or roof tile industry
- Experience selling to distributors, roofing contractors, builders, architects, designers, or developers
- Strong technical understanding of roof tile profiles, components, installation practices, lead times, breakage, warranties, and project requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Arizona and California
- Comfortable spending the majority of working time in the field visiting customers, distributor yards, project sites, and design centers
- Ability to provide verifiable professional references related to roof tile sales performance
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts throughout Arizona and California
- Meet annual sales and gross-margin targets
- Build and maintain a qualified account and project pipeline with reliable sales forecasting
- Develop distributors and roofing yards that actively stock, quote, and recommend company products
- Build relationships with builders, architects, designers, contractors, and specification teams
- Generate product specifications and approvals early in the project cycle
- Develop strong relationships with roofing contractors and installers to drive quoting, installation, and repeat business
- Provide technically credible solutions based on product fit, performance, and total project value
- Protect pricing and margins while coordinating samples, quotes, orders, and delivery commitments
- Maintain strong knowledge of the Arizona and California roof tile markets
Compensation
- 3% commission on all product sales, excluding freight and taxes
- $1,500 USD guaranteed monthly commission during the first 3 months
- Additional compensation details will be discussed during the interview process
