Manage the Security Department daily operations. Implement security’s policies and procedures. Manage the training and scheduling of Security Department personnel. Interview applicants for security positions. Recommend successful applicants for employment to the Director of Security and recommend discipline.

High School diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience providing necessary background for the position). Knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission licensing and compliance regulations preferred.
- At least three years’ experience in law enforcement, security, or gaming position.

Management-level experience in casino/hotel security department highly desirable.

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Ability to obtain a NIGC key license

Under the guidance of the Director of Security, manages the daily operations of the Security Department, including reviewing all reported security incidents and keeping the Director informed of significant matters. Plans and promotes departmental training programs, develops and implements policies and procedures, and recommends disciplinary actions and promotions for security personnel. Assumes the responsibilities of the Director of Security in their absence and prepares notifications regarding significant incidents and budget-related matters for Tribal Council and Casino Administration. Assists with the development, preparation, and management of the department’s annual budget, directly supervises security personnel when immediate supervisors are unavailable, and serves as a liaison between Security and local law enforcement agencies.
