Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Records Specialist to join our team at a leading FAA-certified landing gear repair station. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all technical documentation related to landing gear repairs and overhauls, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards. You will work closely with engineering, repair, and quality teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and the timely submission of documents for certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize technical records for landing gear repairs, overhauls, and modifications in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and review documents such as FAA Form 8130-3, work orders, inspection reports, and service bulletins.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance records are accurate, complete, and stored in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with repair and engineering teams to gather necessary data and documents for FAA certification and airworthiness.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to conduct audits and ensure that all technical records are in line with company and FAA standards.
- Assist in preparing for FAA audits and inspections, ensuring all required documentation is available and up to date.
- Maintain inventory of technical records, ensuring easy access and retrieval as needed.
- Provide support in the management of data related to maintenance, modifications, and repairs performed on landing gear components.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in technical records management, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR Part 145, Part 43, etc.) and industry standards for repair stations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and organize large volumes of technical documentation.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and maintenance tracking software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with landing gear systems and components.
- Experience working in a FAA-certified repair station.
- Knowledge of FAA compliance and airworthiness documentation.
