Senior Process Improvement Consultant (Provider Enrollment & Credentialing)
SARGAD LLC | Hybrid | Project-Based / Contract
About the Role
SARGAD is looking for a Senior Process Improvement Consultant to lead a 13-week government-sector engagement focused on redesigning an end-to-end provider enrollment and recertification process. You'll work directly with client leadership, process owners, IT, and credentialing teams to cut cycle time, reduce manual work, and build a scalable future-state operating model.
This is a great fit for someone who loves digging into a messy process, mapping it out, and turning that analysis into a practical, phased plan that stakeholders can actually execute.
What You'll Do
- Map current-state workflows for provider intake, assignment, validation, credentialing, approval, and recertification
- Build a data flow and systems map covering the client's provider database, reporting tools, and call center routing
- Establish baseline performance metrics (cycle time, volume, touch time, rework rates, credentialing timing)
- Lead root cause analysis to identify what's driving delays and manual intervention
- Design a target operating model, including process improvements, workflow redesign, and technology enablement opportunities
- Propose a future-state framework with pilot recommendations, performance metrics, and success criteria
- Develop a strategic plan and phased implementation roadmap, including quick wins and longer-term initiatives
- Recommend reporting and analytics improvements to support ongoing monitoring
- Partner with client stakeholders to manage change readiness and address adoption resistance
What You Bring
- Proven experience improving provider enrollment processes for government or health plan clients
- Lean Six Sigma certification and strong digital workflow redesign expertise
- Familiarity with analytics platforms and case management systems
- Change management experience, ideally in public sector or highly regulated environments
- Experience building recertification cadences and compliance-aligned monitoring processes
- Strong writing and presentation skills for executive-level strategic deliverables
- Comfort working within a compressed project timeline and clear milestone structure
Success Looks Like
- Cutting end-to-end cycle time by 40 to 50 percent
- Reducing manual case assignment to 10 percent or less
- Improving provider status transparency and reducing call center reliance
Pay: $80.00 - $95.00 per hour
