Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Weekend Commercial Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial facilities, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas during weekend hours
- Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces at optimal cleanliness levels
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to safety protocols and handling procedures
- Conduct custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution
- Use proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or equipment
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and safety compliance throughout each shift
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is Not necessary.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting, chemical use, and equipment operation
- Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when needed
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles will be advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
