Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supervised Visitation Worker (1099 Contract) to facilitate safe, supportive, and positive visitation experiences for families. In this vital role, you will oversee supervised visits, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults while promoting healthy family interactions. Your expertise will help foster trust, stability, and healing during sensitive family reunification and visitation processes. Duties
- Monitor and supervise visits between children/vulnerable adults and their relatives or guardians in a secure environment, ensuring safety at all times.
- Implement best practices in welfare and family law to support positive interactions.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage constructive communication and engagement during visits and interventions.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations or behavioral health concerns, employing crisis intervention strategies as needed.
- Manage conflicts and challenging behaviors using conflict management skills to maintain a calm, safe atmosphere.
- Document visitations accurately, including observations, incidents, and any relevant interactions in detailed reports
Education: Bachelor's (Required)
Bachelor’s degree preferred in:
Social Work
Psychology
Criminal Justice
Education
Human Services
Behavioral Health
Or related fields
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in social work, child welfare, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of child protective services protocols, family law, and behavioral health principles
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and crisis management techniques
- Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, vulnerable adults, or families facing complex challenges is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and support families during sensitive situations
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often required for community-based visits.
Our company provides training, oversight, and dedicated support to all Supervision Visitation Workers.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
