Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems such as Cerner
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Adhere to infection control policies and protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred - Experience in ostomy care, pain management, dementia care, esthetic laser treatment, ambulatory surgery center, IV insertion, and inhalation therapy is a plus
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
