Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of cone-based treats, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions, sales, and refunds
- Engage with customers warmly, upselling additional toppings or products to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling stations, counters, and equipment
- Manage cash register operations efficiently, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with food preparation tasks like scooping ice cream, topping cones, and managing inventory levels
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures and food industry regulations
- Support other team members with bussing tables or cleaning duties to ensure a tidy environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafés is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions; grocery store or retail math experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and cleaning effectively
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
