Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Manage daily activities including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and structured educational exercises.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth through behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support individual needs such as special education or early intervention programs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child development progress and incidents.
- Incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods where appropriate to enhance learning experiences.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods for young learners.
- Background in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Previous experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
