The Human Resources Generalist works closely with the Human Resources Manager. While the role will focus primarily on employee relations, the incumbent will also be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, including attendance and time-off tracking, vacation planning, generating performance evaluation reports, and other functional areas of the department.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Personnel and Payroll Management: Compile and maintain personnel files, and record employee data—including absences, supervisory reports, and shift tracking.
- Recruitment and Selection: Assist in posting vacancies for operators, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Onboarding/Induction: Facilitate the integration of new personnel and conduct welcome training sessions, including reviewing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Attendance and Absenteeism Control: Monitor daily attendance records to ensure production needs are met and manage medical leave requests or other time-off approvals.
- Safety and Compliance: Audit personnel compliance with hygiene standards by conducting daily rounds within the production plant.
- Employee Support: Respond to personnel inquiries regarding company policies, vacation time, payroll, and benefits.
- Administrative Support: Manage general paperwork, generate payroll reports, track daily personnel updates, monitor vacation and absenteeism records, and maintain an organized workspace.
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience: Technical or university-level studies in Human Resources, Administration, or related fields, and/or a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in HR roles or related areas.
- Knowledge: o Proficiency in Office (intermediate Excel skills for shift scheduling/payroll). To Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems . o Basic knowledge of local labor laws.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. o Excellent interpersonal communication skills for interacting with both operations staff and management. o Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. o Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality.
