Job Overview
The QAQC & Safety Manager will oversee the safe activity of all processes, Finished Goods and respective personnel. The QAQC & Safety manager will also be responsible for partnering with the Director of Regulation and Compliance and COO for auditing the personnel and procedures within the Production/Packaging and Blending areas. This role ensures that products meet the highest quality standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) systems and protocols to ensure consistent product quality and safety. Continue the development and oversee the implementation of the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP).
- Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and tests to ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA, and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee the analysis and resolution of quality and safety issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Ensure incoming ingredients meet internal standards through COA review and/or sampling and maintain the Approved Supplier Program.
- Ensure the integrity of product transfers between sites through the seal tracking program.
- Train and supervise QA/QC, sanitation, and safety personnel, ensuring that all staff understand and adhere to company protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, R&D, and Supply Chain, to promote quality and safety throughout the production process.
- Stay current on industry regulations and quality standards, implementing changes as required.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies related to product safety and workplace safety.
- Participate in industry training and continual education as prescribed by each regulatory agency.
- Administer the Retain Program through the collection, identification, and proper storage of retain samples.
- Continue to develop and enhance the Master Sanitation Plan, including SSOPs, and oversee the sanitation team in the execution of sanitation procedures.
- Manage the Shelf Life Program, including sample collection, storage, testing coordination, and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and safety management within the supplement, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.
- In-depth knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Proven experience in managing safety programs and quality systems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ) and Safety (e.g., OSHA 30) is preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
