POSITION SUMMARY
Sanabria & Associates is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our accounting function and help deliver exceptional service to the small businesses we are proud to serve across Puerto Rico. In this role, you will manage a team, oversee client engagements end to end, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across the books we touch. This is a high-trust leadership role for a bilingual accounting professional who takes ownership of quality and wants to grow with a well-established, second-generation firm.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary Range
$60,000 – $65,000 (base $60,000)

OBJECTIVES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the accounting department — the firm's core, baseline business — and manage the accounting & audit team (~5 today)
- Oversee client engagements across accounting, tax, and audit work, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Review team work product and uphold quality and standards across the department Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients, building long-term, trusted relationships
- Partner with firm leadership to scale and modernize the department as the firm grows
- Strengthen workflows, onboarding, and standards so the team performs consistently
- Mentor and develop staff, providing coaching, review, and accountability
- Report to ownership / leadership on departmental performance and client status

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience, with the leadership or management capability to run a team
- CPA license strongly preferred
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English) — the firm operates primarily in Spanish Experience across accounting, tax, and/or audit in a public accounting or multi-client setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
LOCATION & WORK ARRANGEMENT
This is an onsite role based in Puerto Rico. The Accounting Manager is expected to work from the firm's office and be present and available to staff and clients during business hours.
