Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time cook (9:30 to 1:30) at our preschool
As a Cook, you will be responsible for creating weekly menu and preparing high-quality, healthy meals that meet the dietary needs of the children while adhering to food safety standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every dish served is not only delicious but also safe and nutritious for the children
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
- Plan and prepare weekly menu
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering
Skills & Previous experiences
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a preschool with commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation.
- A passion for cooking and creating nutritious meals that cater to diverse dietary needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
