This position is for a morning shift or night shift ( Depending on production needs).
Work week: one week 3 days scheduled, 4 days off and following week 4 days scheduled, 3 days off
12 hour shifts bringing you to 28 hours of overtime pay per pay check + opportunity for additional overtime.
Night shift includes a premium of an additional $0.75 when on night shifts.

Summary
To operate chemical processes and equipment correctly, while meeting production goals and expectations on a consistent basis, while maintaining compliance of Environmental, Health & Safety Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required):
· Must follow SOP’s/POP’s and all other procedures in every detail, including safety policies.
· Follow instruction and directives as assigned by Crew Leads and Supervisors.
· Is directly responsible for the precious metal being worked on.
· Perform material tracking as related to specific processes.
· Participate in end of shift turnovers with ability to effectively communicate in English.
· Ability to wear required PPE including respirators.
· Ability to operate and maintain equipment to company standards and safety standards.
· Must operate equipment (for example, pumps, GLV’s, filter presses, pan filters, reactors, valves, pH probes, ovens, forklifts, etc) in a reasonable and self-sustaining manner.
· Perform operator base equipment safety inspection and production area maintenance duties.
· Responsible for a clean and tidy environment.
· Must notify Supervisor immediately of any deviations from normal operations.
· Working knowledge and understanding of one or more of the processes within the department.
· For General Refinery, i.e. Extraction, Precipitation, Purification of Pt or Pd or Rh, Cementation.
· For Reforming Catalyst, i.e. Leach, Alum Movement, Extraction, Re Separation/Purification.
· For Chemical Product, i.e. Rh production, PLC controls, Rotovap, Funabac, and LS treatment.
· Must report to work as scheduled and willing to work any and all shifts.
· Responsible for understanding safety requirements and emergency procedures.
· Responsible for understanding basic chemical reactions and properties of chemicals within the work area.
· Responsible for handling and processing Hazardous Waste as required within the work area.
· Responsible for completion of Hazardous Waste training as required.
