American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU experience and the ability to float between ICU and stepdown settings.

Located in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center specializing in complex and high-volume trauma cases

Unit: 8AB - Neuroscience ICU/IMCU (stepdown); floating between the ICU and stepdown units is expected
-
ICU patient ratio: 1:2; stepdown patient ratio: 1:3–4

12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week

Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Block scheduling is generally not approved

No on-call requirements

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or IMCU specialty

Strong neuroscience nursing background required

Experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments is required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Current BLS certification required (certification card required for consideration)

Active Nursys license verification required

Provide critical care nursing to neurological and neuroscience patients across ICU and stepdown levels of care

Facility is a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center managing complex, diverse, and severe cases in a large urban setting

Candidates must demonstrate a background in managing critical and fast-paced situations with high patient volumes
