Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, incidents, and public safety concerns to ensure swift action and resolution.
- Conduct thorough criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports to support law enforcement efforts.
- Enforce laws and ordinances by patrolling assigned areas on foot or in patrol vehicles, maintaining a visible presence to deter criminal activity.
- Engage with community members to build positive relationships, provide assistance, and promote safety awareness initiatives.
- Utilize surveillance techniques and technology to monitor suspicious activities and gather intelligence for ongoing investigations.
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary to provide immediate medical assistance during emergencies.
- Write comprehensive reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations accurately for legal proceedings.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism using conflict management skills to de-escalate tense encounters effectively.
- Operate law enforcement vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; may include driving under high-pressure situations.
- Assist in specialized tasks such as animal handling or loss prevention when required by the department’s needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,736.00 - $72,562.00 per year
