Job Summary
Holiday Inn Express & Suites is looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel linens and towels while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient laundry area. This position plays an important role in ensuring our guests receive clean, fresh linens that meet our brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment.
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other hotel linens.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and remove items that do not meet quality standards.
- Sort laundry by type, color, and washing requirements.
- Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
- Deliver clean linens to housekeeping storage areas as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines.
- Assist the housekeeping department with additional duties when needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Holiday availability is preferred.
