Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Custom Metal Fabricator & Installer for a permanent, full-time position. In this role, you will manufacture and install high-quality architectural metal elements, including railings, gates, custom doors, and miscellaneous structures. The majority of our work involves mild steel, with occasional projects utilizing stainless steel and aluminum.
All shop and installation tools, safety gear, and company vehicles are fully provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication: Read blueprints, layout, measure, cut, and fit steel components for gates, doors, and handrails with high accuracy.
- Welding: Perform clean, structural welds utilizing MIG (primary) and TIG/Stick (secondary) on mild steel, stainless, and aluminum.
- Field Installation: Transport finished products to residential and commercial job sites across LA and perform secure installations (anchoring into concrete, core drilling, wood framing).
- Finishing: Operate grinders, sanders, and finishing tools to prep metal surfaces for powder-coating or paint.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of professional custom fabrication and field installation experience.
- Tools: Ability to expertly operate shop machinery (band saws, ironworkers, tubing benders, mag drills).
- Physical: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably on active construction sites.
- License: Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean record to drive company installation vehicles.
- Certification (Plus): LA City Certified Welder license or AWS D1.1 is highly preferred but not required.
Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
