RAREculture is a global art and design studio creating custom artwork, sculpture, and large-scale visual experiences for leading hospitality and commercial environments worldwide.
THIS IS NOT A BRANDING POSITION
We are seeking an exceptionally talented in-house Studio Artist to join our NYC team. This role is ideal for a highly creative visual thinker who can develop compelling concepts, create finished artwork across a range of aesthetics, and bring ideas from initial vision through production.
We are looking for an artist who can generate fresh ideas, solve creative challenges, and produce sophisticated, original work with both speed and precision. Work ranges between wall art, sculpture, fiber art, installation and lighting. All work is based upon client narratives and this artist must be flexible, open minded and have a keen ability to create work based on others concepts. The artist will report to the in- house team.
Responsibilities
- Develop original artwork and visual concepts for hospitality and commercial projects based on clients concepts
- Translate creative direction into unique, fully realized visual solutions
- Create polished presentation and production artwork using Photoshop at an expert level
- Execute precise color, composition, and visual detailing
- Prepare files for fabrication, printing, framing, and installation
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, fabricators, and framing partners throughout the production process
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Expert-level Adobe Photoshop skills
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and technical excellence
- Ability to work across diverse visual styles and artistic approaches
- Exceptional understanding of color, composition, texture, and visual storytelling
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative studio environment
- Full-time, in-person availability in New York City
Preferred Experience
- Fine Art, Illustration, Concept Art, Visual Development, or related background
- Experience creating artwork for hospitality, commercial, residential, or public spaces
- Familiarity with fabrication processes, framing, large-format printing, and production workflows
Compensation
Salary: $65,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience, portfolio quality, and demonstrated skill level.
