Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Copier Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of copier and multifunction printer equipment. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation for clients by delivering prompt, professional, and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site repairs and maintenance of copiers, printers, and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot software issues, hardware malfunctions, and network connectivity problems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts to conduct equipment repairs accurately.
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to identify root causes of issues efficiently.
- Conduct preventative maintenance visits to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with clients to explain repair procedures and provide guidance on device operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and troubleshooting steps taken for each visit.
Experience
- 1+ year experience as a service technician specializing in copier and printer equipment repair.
- Strong background in computer hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting related to multifunction devices.
- Familiarity with mechanical components of office equipment and the use of hand tools for repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Prior experience with IT systems integration or networked office devices is highly desirable but not required.
