Used Car Technician
Due to recent growth, Kramer Autoplex, is need of a Used Car Technician.
As a Service Technician, you will be asked to perform quality services on each vehicle while maintaining a great work ethic. Technicians are hands-on and they perform a variety of services and repairs to vehicles.
Qualifications
- Good communication and interaction skills, competent management and organizational skills required.
- Good computer and software knowledge.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required. Must be able to pass a preemployment drug test
- Have basic mechanical abilities to perform the requirements of the job
- Must have own tools
- 2 years experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Inspect vehicles for issues that need to be addressed
· Inform management of any damage to inventory
· Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition; immediately report safety incidents
· Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
· Safeguard dealership assets and customer data
· Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule
· Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold Kramer Automotive brand
· Other duties as assigned
Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent prefered
- Completion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus
- Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair preferred
- Experience in engine performance preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Certification in a related field from a vocational school a plus
- Strong verbal communication skills (will be expected to relay auto repair information to customers and other mechanics)
- Detail oriented and thorough, organized
- Critical thinking skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Mechanically and analytically minded
- Physical strength and stamina, and ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
