Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL Driver and take on the exciting challenge of transporting freight across long distances while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, across OTR routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Transport a variety of cargo such as freight, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialty items like automobile transportation or heavy equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for truck loading/unloading, cargo handling, and route coordination to optimize delivery schedules.
- Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations, truck loading/unloading procedures, and manual transmission operation.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for long-distance deliveries.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazard materials regulations, and safety procedures related to trucking operations.
- Experience in freight handling, load & unload processes, forklift operation (preferred), and logistics cargo management.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with necessary endorsements such as Hazmat or Tanker preferred; a clean driving record is essential.
- Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely during cargo loading/unloading.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $3,000.00 per week
