Position Title: Production Manager

Essential Functions:

Serve as floor director during weekend services, calling cues and ensuring all production elements run smoothly.

Work with Production team to coordinate volunteer recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, and coaching across audio, video, and lighting role.

Prepare auditoriums, classrooms, and student spaces for services and events; ensure equipment is updated, labeled, clean, and fully functional.

Maintain production supplies (batteries, gaff tape, etc.) and oversee storage organization.

Perform quarterly preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on production equipment and systems.

Manage content transfers and playback preparation for weekend and student services.

Complete weekly quality reports on services and events.

Acts as a primary point of contact for ministry staff regarding day-to-day production scheduling and service execution needs, escalating broader system, staffing, or budgetary needs to the Production Director.

Support campus-wide events and assist with core production projects.

Attend staff meetings, production meetings, debriefs, and additional meetings as required.

Perform other duties, as needed.
Time Requirements:
This position will be completed in 40+ hours per week. This position will require flexibility as there will be weekdays, weekends, evenings and holiday time expectations that vary through the weeks.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office and church environment and uses standard production equipment including audio consoles, video switchers, lighting consoles, and related AVL tools.

Requirements:
Professional/Education
- Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Technical degree in a relevant field and 2+ years’ experience, OR 4+ years’ experience in live production environments.

Leadership experience in training, managing, and mentoring volunteers.

Organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

Experience with stage management procedures, safety standards, and equipment load-in/load-out.

Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job.

Excellent operational knowledge in at least one production discipline (audio, video, or lighting). Primary experience in lighting preferred (Experience with GrandMA3 preferred).

Other experience in any of the following areas preferred: DiGiCo, Yamaha, Waves SoundGrid, Absen, Green Hippo, Pro Presenter.

Summary/Objective:
The Production Manager supports the Production Director by managing the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. The role ensures excellent execution of weekend services, student gatherings, and special events by leading volunteer teams, coordinating technical coverage, and maintaining production systems during all services and events.
