Resource Furniture, leader in high-end Italian-made transforming furniture, is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Sales & Design Consultant to join our team in our Seattle Showroom - 5701 6th Ave S. Suite 239, Seattle, WA 98108
This is a full time salary plus commission role. To best meet the needs of our clients and to achieve and exceed sales targets, the Sales & Design Consultant will work a 5-day per week schedule which includes alternating Saturday shifts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales (within the high-end furniture or interior design industry), be results-oriented, and have an eye for interior design.
Sales and Consultation:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, and other industry professionals.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for clients, offering expert advice on our range of furniture, design possibilities, and space optimization solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive product presentations and consultations to showcase the benefits and features of our furniture offerings.
- Understand client requirements, preferences, and budget to provide tailored recommendations and design solutions.
- Negotiate and successfully close sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Product Knowledge and Expertise:
- Maintain a deep understanding of our company's collection, staying updated with new releases, features, functionality and specifications.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of interior design trends, furniture industry developments, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct thorough research and actively participate in industry events to network and stay to informed about competitors' offerings and market dynamics.
Design and Space Planning:
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and interior designers to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture layouts.
- Deliver renderings including measurement specifications to clients, ensuring clear communication of design concepts and product requirements.
- Offer innovative design solutions that optimize space utilization, functionality, and visual appeal.
- Learn proprietary CAD software to create 3D design layouts for clients, incorporating our furniture solutions seamlessly into their spaces; partnering with in-house drafters on more complex designs.
Requirements:
- Extensive sales experience within the high-end furniture or interior design industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain relationships with a diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and effectively translate them into design solutions.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client requirements.
- Knowledge of interior design principles and trends.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Excel highly desirable.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefit package including:
- Annual Base Salary: $45,000 - $50,000
- Commission Pay: 3% commission on every sale. Commissions are paid out monthly after order placement
