Overview:
Must live within 10 miles of Lithonia, GA. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and culturally aligned Jamaican CNA who enjoys preparing authentic Jamaican meals and providing structured, supportive care for a client in their home. This role focuses on companionship, daily living support, medication reminders (non-clinical), and engaging the client in light physical activity such as guided walking to support mobility and routine.
Schedule:
20 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Companionship & Engagement: Provide meaningful conversation and build a positive, supportive relationship
- Cultural Meal Preparation: Cook authentic Jamaican-style meals tailored to the client’s preferences
- Daily Living Support: Assist with light housekeeping, routine structure, and day-to-day activities
- Activity-Based Support: Encourage safe movement such as walking to support mobility and wellness
- Medication Reminders: Provide non-medical reminders for medication adherence (no administration)
- Safety & Supervision: Maintain a safe, comfortable home environment
- Observation & Reporting: Report any changes in condition, mood, or behavior to the agency
Qualifications:
- Active CNA license
- Jamaican culture preferred (for cultural alignment and cooking)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior experience in companion care or similar role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and attentive
Important:
This is a non-medical role. No clinical care or medication administration is required.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
