Job Description:
TAG is seeking a highly organized and proactive Construction Project Coordinator/Assistant to support our Project Management team. This role focuses on administrative and coordination tasks that keep construction projects running smoothly from preconstruction through closeout phases. Working closely with Project Management, Superintendents, and field Foreman, this position assists to coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle such as procurement, scheduling, project documentation, and communications between clients and subcontractors to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and meet TAG’s quality standards.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail oriented, and comfortable working with construction teams, technical staff, and external stakeholders. You will help maintain project momentum by ensuring documentation is accurate, communications are clear, and routine project tasks are completed on time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate multiple construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and field personnel.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project requirements.
- Assist with coordinating project startup activities including submittals, material procurement, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting notes, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate material procurement and monitor delivery schedules.
- Assist with building schedules for subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and project milestones.
- Support Project Team by coordinating logistics, communication, and project execution.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, costs, and overall project progress.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including expense tracking, invoice tracking, and timekeeping support.
- Conduct periodic jobsite visits to verify progress, resolve coordination issues, and maintain communication with field personnel.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Coordinate project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, lien waivers, as-builts, and final documentation.
- Identify potential issues early and work with Project Management to develop practical solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Proven administrative experience supporting project teams or technical staff
- Strong organizational and time management abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Bluebeam, ACC, Procore, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar is preferred
- Basic understanding of construction documents and terminology and the ability to summarize technical information clearly
- Comfortable coordinating across teams including field crews, vendors, and internal departments
- Problem-solving and follow through to ensure action items are completed and documented
Education and Training:
- Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree, preferred in construction management, business administration, or related field
- Equivalent relevant experience accepted
- Familiarity with construction best practices and safety documentation is a plus.
Work Experience:
- One to two years of administrative experience supporting construction, engineering, or technical project teams preferred
- Experience with document control, meeting minutes, and schedule tracking preferred
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel is beneficial

Compensation
· $55,000 - $70,000, based on experience, efficiency, and overall performance.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
