We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities and plays a vital part in supporting providers and ensuring an excellent patient experience.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including recording vital signs, height, and weight
- Accurately obtain manual blood pressure readings and document findings
- Administer immunizations and therapeutic injections under provider supervision
- Asist providers during patient exams and minor procedures
- Communicate with patients in person and over the phone in a professional, compassionate manner
- Schedule appointments and assist with care coordination
- Relay provider messages, lab results, and medical instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment
- Follow all infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with EHR systems (We use E-Clinical) and medical terminology preferred
- Previous Medical Assistant or clinical experience preferred
- Willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
