Supervises the day-to-day activities of a regional team responsible for maintaining IT services at multiple Butterball locations. Provides support, coaching, guidance, and direction to the team to ensure the team accomplishes work and produces deliverables. Efficiently oversees the IT service desk ticketing system, delivering excellent customer service through timely, courteous, and diligent responses and status updates on all service requests.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of tasks. Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforces and ensures compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and IT security policies and procedures.
- Coaches and promotes demonstrating all behaviors defined by IT and Butterball standards, including ‘The Butterball Way’.
- Creates and maintains standardized technical and process documentation related to user or system design specifications and IT issue solutions. Ensures proper documentation for all IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Provides feedback and recommendations to optimize the team’s ability to accomplish work and produce deliverables. Spearheads new potential IT solutions and process improvements that bring value to the organization.
- Owns and guides projects. Effectively develops, plans, and documents appropriate input and resource forecasts to ensure deliverables are on time and on budget, including CERs.
- Develops and maintains cost benefit information in support of projects and service level initiatives. Monitors and controls project expenses.
- Maintains frequent and meaningful communication cross-functionally via both formal and informal channels / mechanisms.
- Troubleshoots and resolves IT related problems escalated by junior resources. Solves complex problems utilizing resources, identifying new solutions, good judgment, and expertise.
- Manages hardware and software inventory for assigned sites. Collaborates with IT vendors and the other regional IT Site Admin, Team lead, for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services.
- Installs, configures, upgrades, repairs, and troubleshoots operating systems, software applications, and hardware components. Coordinates equipment replacement when necessary.
- Provides technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. Assists users in understanding and adhering to IT policies and best practices.
- Provides support and backup for the other leaders as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)
- High school diploma / GED
- 4+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ year of leadership experience or the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in the role
- CompTIA A+ Certification

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of industry standards and best practices, such as ManageEngine (Imaging/application deployment), Cisco, Fortinet, Microsoft M365 products/services
- Ample experience with ticketing systems such as SolarWinds Service Desk, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management
- Proficient with Microsoft Suites (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), network protocols, systems security, and troubleshooting
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to balance technical knowledge and people skills when resolving difficult customer situations
- Strong critical thinking, investigatory, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to effectively guide and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Solid business acumen with the ability to comprehend how IT influences various facets of the organization
- Skilled at fostering strategic relationships, collaboration, and providing timely and accurate status reports to all relevant parties
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3+ years as an IT Site Administrator within the Butterball IT Customer and Manufacturing Services team
- 1+ year as Sr IT Site Administrator within Butterball
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- ITIL Training and/or Certification
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
- Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
- The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
- Travel may be required up to 30% of the time.
