Assists the Teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of K-12 youth at PASSAGE Christian Academy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in instructing and supervising children in classroom activities.
- Utilize appropriate language, interactions, and positive discipline.
- Model positive behavior. Exhibit a calm attitude that encourages and cultivate atmosphere of learning.
- Assist the Teacher in implementing developmental assessment for each child to determine the child’s strengths and areas in which each child may need help.
- Maintain a cooperative attitude of working together with the teacher, volunteers and parents in planning and implementing activities.
- Plans with and assists the Teacher in preparing materials and supplies in advance for lessons and activities.
- Assist the Teacher in incorporating required activities into lesson plans that support children’s learning development.
- Exhibits a genuine nurturing, caring attitude to all children.
- Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
Education, Certifications, and Work-Related Experience:
- AA Degree or higher, preferred;
- A willingness to share Christian testimony and instruct others in the faith.
- Basic Biblical knowledge required.
