American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical (9 West) unit position with telemetry capability and NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
-
Work in a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with Neuro/Stroke specialty focus, serving adult patients
-
Telemetry capability available on the unit, with monitor techs dedicated to telemetry monitoring
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
-
Unit is supported by PCTs and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator
-
Virtual sitter monitoring is available
-
Night shift schedule: 18:30–07:00
-
Travelers are required to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
-
Holiday coverage required based on department needs
-
Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
-
BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
-
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address

Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

Implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient condition appropriately

Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
-
Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment are essential

Must adhere to Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
