Director of Plant Operations – Behavioral Health Hospital

Wekiva Springs Center is seeking a seasoned Director of Plant Operations (DPO) to serve as a senior leader responsible for the hospital’s physical environment, safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness.
This role is ideal for a healthcare facilities professional who values leadership, structure, and collaboration — and who wants the support of a strong UHS Regional Facilities and Design & Construction team.
What You’ll Lead
As Director of Plant Operations, you will: • Oversee all maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, and transportation operations
- Act as the facility owner for Environment of Care, Life Safety, and Emergency Management programs
- Maintain survey-ready Joint Commission and regulatory documentation
- Lead Emergency Management planning, drills, and after-action reporting
- Collaborate on capital planning and infrastructure projects with UHS Design & Construction
- Coach and develop a multidisciplinary Plant Operations team
- Partner closely with hospital leadership to support safety, compliance, and patient care
Qualifications:
- Healthcare facilities leadership experience (hospital or behavioral health preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Joint Commission standards and emergency preparedness
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage regulatory expectations
- Technical, trade, military, or facilities-related background
