After-School Math & English Teacher — Plano, TX
Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience (bilingual candidates may qualify for a higher rate) Schedule: Part-time, flexible, weekday afterschool hours and Saturday mornings, Paid monthly
About the Opportunity
We're hiring passionate, energetic teachers to join a growing after-school learning center opening in Plano, TX. This is a hands-on, in-person teaching role working with small groups of students in math and/or English, using structured, engaging curriculum and interactive classroom tools like smart boards.
This is a great fit for current teachers, tutors, or educators looking to add extra income on top of a full-time job, working just a few afternoons a week and/or Saturday mornings can mean an extra $1,000–$2,000 a month, depending on your schedule.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging, small-group instruction in math and/or English to students ranging from elementary through high school
- Build student confidence in foundational skills and critical thinking
- Track student progress and communicate with parents on learning outcomes
- Create a positive, high-energy classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring (classroom or 1:1)
- Strong communication and classroom engagement skills
- Comfort working with smart boards and basic classroom technology
- Reliable, punctual, and available for a minimum of 2 days per week
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, not required
Schedule Details
- Weekdays: afternoon/evening blocks between approximately 4:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Saturdays: morning availability (approx. 9:00 AM–2:00 PM)
- Minimum commitment: 2 days per week; more hours available for those who want them
