What You'll Do
As a Certified Medical Assistant in our Walk-In and Urgent Care Clinic, you will be an essential member of the healthcare team providing efficient, compassionate care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome and room patients while obtaining vital signs and health histories
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and other delegated clinical duties within scope of practice
- Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection
- Assist with wound care, splinting, nebulizer treatments, and other urgent care procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up instructions
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record
- Coordinate referrals and assist with continuity of care activities
- Support quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Medical Assistant certification or registration
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and teamwork
