Shift Manager
Taco John's International, Inc is seeking to hire a Shift Manager to be our General Manager's right hand by managing shifts and training new employees in our restaurant.
THE DAY-TO-DAY FOR A SHIFT MANAGER
In this restaurant management role, you are driven to help team members succeed in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You come to work with the goal to work hard, lead, teach, and contribute to a great environment in our restaurant. You happily interact with team members and customers throughout your shift. You are proud of the high-quality, fresh food that is delivered to our happy customers.
Responsibilities include training employees; and assigning and directing work. The Shift Manager is also responsible for counting cash drawers, security of the safe and deposits.
As a part of the Management Team, you will work a variety of job stations in the restaurant. You will work the front counter or drive-thru, taking customer orders, handling cash and/or handing out orders. In the dining area, ensuring guests are happy and the area is clean is a priority. You may work in the food production areas of the restaurant, such as the steam table, prep area or fry station. These responsibilities require employees to follow directions for equipment and/or recipe and menu item preparation. Taco John's employees must know product abbreviations and portions. Cleanliness of the restaurant is extremely important and it is a team effort, so you will also perform cleaning duties. Shift Managers are also responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards during their shift and the safety and security of the restaurant and its employees.
You take charge of challenging opportunities as they arise and provide excellent customer service. You have great communication skills and are able to keep employees on task and motivated. Your role as a leader is critical to our success! And your willingness to work right alongside your team helps create a cooperative environment based on teamwork.
